The World: Seen Through The Eyes of The Don

As the Title suggests, this is where you can catch a glimpse of what my take on the world is. Oh and I just ended a sentence with a preposition. It's hard not to. Oh look! I did it again.

Mistrial

A mistrial decision was declared in the case of a father lying to protect his son. The father was in trouble for lying to protect his son, who was accused of attending a terrorist training camp in Pakistan. The jury was deadlocked and no decision was made. The defense team centered on the father's son not committing the crime based on evidence and the argument that the confession was made under duress. I feel for the father but if he is lying, then I wish that he be imprisoned for years. Whatever the jury deems appropriate.

Maybe going up to her and asking her out would be better.

Well a police officer, took hint out of the Wooing For Dummies Series and decided that the way to win a woman's heart is to harass her and sit naked outside her backyard. Slick! Yeah, you know sometimes it's for the better to move on.

Psychological Drama

Since Katrina, some children have been traumatized by what they saw and endured during the ordeal. One has fears of bathing in a tub and the site of toys and their rooms littered all over the ground after the storm has stuck with the children. I think a donation drive should be set to help pay for several of these children's psychological therapy. Some may not afford it.

Foiled Shooting

Five students were busted and thier plot was foiled in due part because of leaking the news through MySpace. The boys noted that it was the annerversiry of the Columbine School Shooting and Hitler's birthday. Man, I hope these kids learn and face something to make them realize how wrong they would of been. They deserve a lesson taught. Scare them straight or something. But they must realize what they did was wrong.

Mav and Fans to Playoffs!

Mark Cuban and his quest to please the fans showed up again last night. He gave 19,000 fans tickets to thier playoff game. I think that was a cool thing to do.

Spyware Sued!

Link
So a man has gotten sued for this. I am not a big fan of spy-ware and I think the punishment is a bit excessive.

Draft Coming Up

You know whoever goes numero uno, the NFL Draft is fun to watch. So Bush will go number one and the QB picks will be interesting to watch. With the offseason moves made by some teams, it will be hard to see who will who.

Hip-Hop: Music for the Druggies

Well a study has shown that people who listen to Hip-Hop are more prone to use drugs and aggression. I'm not gonna blame the parents. The fact is that it does. A lot of things do and Hip-Hop in my opinion is one of the bigger promoters. But hey, I ain't going to hate on Hip-Hop a lot of these artists need to change and a listeners need to be schooled. So in a way, I am asking rappers to not glorify such behavior. Rappers are not the only ones but they do it more often than other artists of other genres.

Most of the pictures covered the emotional aftermath.

Hurricane Katrina was a sad moment in American Society. The images from what the event looked to be that of Third World Countries. What was shown was the reality of the world. A country can be as big as the USA but it can still pay host to problems that are present in the UK, Germany, Tawain, or Brazil.

And to wrap up about Katrina, here is one of the editorial cartoons that won a Pulitzer this year:
